Braintree, MA –(September 28, 2012)…..The Archdiocese of Boston announced today that $1.2 million was raised from the 4th Annual Celebration of the Priesthood dinner held Wednesday night at the Seaport World Trade Center. Over 1,300 guests were in attendance.  Don Rodman was the keynote speaker.

(Braintree, Mass.) September 23, 2012…The Archdiocese of Boston today announced that it has placed Rev. James E. Gaudreau on an administrative leave of absence as a result of receiving an allegation of sexual abuse of a child. Fr. Gaudreau is the Pastor at St. Joseph’s in Lynn. The allegation concerns conduct alleged to have occurred in approximately 2006 and was only recently reported to the Archdiocese. 

BOSTON – September 7, 2012 – The Committee Against Physician Assisted Suicide today announced that Rosanne Bacon Meade, former president of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and progressive activist, would chair its efforts to defeat the ballot initiative legalizing assisted suicide in the Commonwealth.   The initiative petition will appear on the November Massachusetts ballot (Question 2).   If approved, it would become law on January 1, 2013.
