On Sunday, October 1, the Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Father Edward Riley will celebrate Mass at the CatholicTV Network’s Chapel of the Holy Cross. Father Riley is the Director of Pastoral Ministry and Dean of Men at St. John’s Seminary and a regular celebrant of the CatholicTV Mass. 

On Thursday, September 28, 2017, Emmy nominated Actress and Producer Roma Downey, will headline the Archdiocese of Boston ninth annual Celebration of the Priesthood dinner at the Seaport World Trade Center.  Ms. Downey starred in the CBS television hit “Touched by an Angel" and currently is president of LightWorkers Media a joint venture with MGM.  She and her husband Mark Burnett produced the Emmy® nominated miniseries ‘The Bible’ for History Channel, which was watched by over 100 million people in the US alone. They also produced ‘Son of God’ the feature film that stunned the box office when it became the 2nd highest faith movie opening of all time.

On Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16, the CatholicTV Network held its twenty-sixth Telethon, raising over $300,000 from generous viewers in the United States and abroad. This year’s Telethon was hosted by Bishop Robert Reed, Jay Fadden, and Kevin Nelson, and featured acts by talented performers, including singers from St. Bridget’s Parish in Maynard, MA; comedy duo Nun & Nunner; and renowned musicians Eric Genuis and Stephanie Scogna.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston’s Opioid Task Force is offering a series of interactive webinars to specifically geared toward concerned parents and adults. The webinars are being held on four consecutive Thursdays, beginning September 21, from 1 to 2 p.m.

They are known as “Dreamers”. However, their dreams have fast become a nightmare. Last week President Trump terminated the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program established five years ago by the Obama Administration. The President’s decision puts at risk, for deportation, the lives of approximately 19,000 Massachusetts residents and another 780,000 individuals across the country. Each of these young individuals faces a traumatic and frightening future.  

On Sunday, September 10, the Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time, Father Thomas Macdonald will celebrate Mass at the CatholicTV Network’s Chapel of the Holy Cross. Father Macdonald is a regular celebrant of the CatholicTV Mass. 

The Archdiocese of Boston is expanding the special collection scheduled for this coming weekend, September 9 & 10 that was initially announced to support Catholic Charities USA relief efforts for the dioceses affected by Hurricane Harvey.

On Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16, the CatholicTV Network will hold its 26th Telethon, featuring music, entertainment, highlights from CatholicTV programs, and special guests. Each year, CatholicTV holds the Telethon as its most important fundraiser to support its ministry of providing programming that inspires and educates Catholics in the United States and around the world.
