Ms. Downey starred in the CBS television hit “Touched by an Angel" and currently is president of LightWorkers Media a joint venture with MGM. She and her husband Mark Burnett produced the Emmy® nominated miniseries ‘The Bible’ for History Channel, which was watched by over 100 million people in the US alone. They also produced ‘Son of God’ the feature film that stunned the box office when it became the 2nd highest faith movie opening of all time.
On Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16, the CatholicTV Network held its twenty-sixth Telethon, raising over $300,000 from generous viewers in the United States and abroad. This year’s Telethon was hosted by Bishop Robert Reed, Jay Fadden, and Kevin Nelson, and featured acts by talented performers, including singers from St. Bridget’s Parish in Maynard, MA; comedy duo Nun & Nunner; and renowned musicians Eric Genuis and Stephanie Scogna.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston’s Opioid Task Force is offering a series of interactive webinars to specifically geared toward concerned parents and adults. The webinars are being held on four consecutive Thursdays, beginning September 21, from 1 to 2 p.m.
