(Braintree, MA) September 29, 2010… The Archdiocese of Boston today announced that, after a thorough investigation and review, the Archdiocesan Review Board has found an allegation against Reverend Charles J. Murphy of sexual abuse of a minor to be unsubstantiated.

PEPPERELL, MA, September 9, 2010 - Our Lady of Grace Parish today announced that Seán Cardinal O’Malley, OFM Cap., Archbishop of Boston, will celebrate a special Mass marking the first anniversary of the Parish at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Joseph Church in Pepperell, MA. 

(Braintree, Massachusetts)  September 8, 2010... The Archdiocese of Boston today announced that Rev. Thomas Curran is restricted from any public ministry following accusations of sexual abuse of minors dating back to the 1970s and 1980s. Upon receiving these allegations, the Archdiocese immediately notified local authorities. 

September 5, 2010 -- Auxiliary Bishop John Dooher (South Region) presided at the final Mass at Star of the Sea Church in Squantum.  Bishop Dooher was joined by Rev. John O’Brien, pastor of Sacred Heart parish in Quincy, which is the welcoming parish for Star of the Sea.

Today the National Weather Service issued a hurricane warning for the coast of Massachusetts from Westport eastward around Cape Cod to Hull, including Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island.

Earlier today (Sept. 1 2010), Cardinal Seán O’Malley consulted with Ralph de la Torre, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Caritas Christi Health Care, regarding the announcement that Caritas had entered into an agreement to acquire Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI.
