Mass celebrating Cardinal Sean's 25th Anniversary as a Bishop.  Joining the Cardinal for the celebration of the Eucharist, there will be over twenty Archbishops and Bishops from throughout New England, over three hundred priests, and the Seminarians of the Archdiocese of Boston who are studying at St. John’s Seminary, Blessed John XXIII Seminary, and the Redemptoris Mater House of Formation.

Braintree, MA – In order to honor the life and memory of the late William H. Cardinal O’Connell, D.D., the 5th Bishop and 2nd Archbishop of Boston, the Archdiocese and Boston College announced today that they are seeking to relocate his remains to a permanent resting place established at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, MA.

Dorchester/Mattapan, MA – September 17, 2009 -- The Board of Trustees for Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy announced the appointment of Russ W. Wilson as Regional Director.  Mr. Wilson most recently served as Principal of Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole, MA.  He succeeds Mary Russo.

South Boston, MA -- South Boston Catholic Academy, a new regional Catholic elementary school in South Boston, will welcome 362 students at the start of the new school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. 

Braintree, MA -- Gloriæ Dei Cantores, the 40-voice choir from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, returns to Boston to begin their Fall 2009 tour with a concert at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston, MA on Thursday, September 24, 8:00 pm.

On Monday, September 7th, CatholicTV will launch its fall season of programming. New shows include the CatholicTV reality series “House+Home” and “The Prophets and You”. In addition, a new show produced by and for Chinese Catholics will premiere along with another show which gives viewers a look at the social justice work of the Church.

During the weekend of September 11-12, CatholicTV will air the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious (CMSWR) two-day Eucharistic Congress from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
