The Apostles Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. born of the Virgin Mary, He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; he ascended into Heaven sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting, Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in Heaven; hallowed by Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
O My Jesus
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of your Mercy. Amen.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us,
And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of they womb, Jesus.
O clement. O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Mysteries of the Rosary
The mysteries of the rosary are traditionally said on certain days of the week:
Monday: Joyful
Tuesday: Sorrowful
Wednesday: Glorious
Thursday: Luminous
Friday: Sorrowful
Saturday: Joyful
Sunday: Glorious
The Joyful Mysteries
Said on Mondays and Saturdays
The Joyful Mysteries are marked by the joy radiating from the event of the Incarnation.
To meditate upon the joyful mysteries is to enter into the ultimate causes and the deepest meaning of Christian joy. It is to focus on the realism of the mystery of the Incarnation and on the obscure foreshadowing of the mystery of the saving Passion. Mary leads us to discover the secret of Christian joy, reminding us that Christianity is, first and foremost, evangelization, "good news", which has as its heart and its whole content the person of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, the one Savior of the world. - Pope John Paul II
1. The Annunciation
The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary, announcing she is to be the Mother of God.

3. The Nativity
The Virgin Mary gives birth to the Redeemer of the World.

Fruit of the Mystery: Poverty
4. The Presentation
The Blessed Mother presents the Child Jesus in the Temple.
“When the day came to purify them according to the law of Moses, the couple brought Him up to Jerusalem so that He could be presented to the Lord, for it is written in the law of the Lord, ‘Every first-born male shall be consecrated to the Lord.’” (Luke 2:22-23)

The Luminous Mysteries
Said on Thursdays
Moving on from the infancy and the hidden life in Nazareth to the public life of Jesus, our contemplation brings us to those mysteries which may be called in a special way “mysteries of light”. Certainly the whole mystery of Christ is a mystery of light. He is the “light of the world” (Jn 8:12). Yet this truth emerges in a special way during the years of his public life, when he proclaims the Gospel of the Kingdom.... Each of these mysteries is a revelation of the Kingdom now present in the very person of Jesus. - Pope John Paul II
1. The Baptism of Christ in the Jordan
The heavens open wide and the voice of the Father declares Jesus the beloved Son.
“And when Jesus was baptized, … the heavens were opened and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on Him, and lo, a voice from heaven, saying ‘this is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.’" (Matthew 3:16-17)
Fruit of the Mystery: Openness to the Holy Spirit
2. The Wedding at Cana
The first of Jesus’ signs, in which Christ changes water into wine and opens the hearts of the disciples to faith, thanks to the intervention of Mary, the first among believers.
“His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever He tells you.’ ... Jesus said to them, ‘Fill the jars with water.’ And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2:5-7)
Fruit of the Mystery: To Jesus through Mary
3. Proclamation of the Kingdom
Jesus proclaims the coming of the Kingdom of God, calls all to conversion and forgives the sins of those who draw near to Him in humble trust.
"And preach as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without pay, give without pay."
(Matthew 10:7-8)
Fruit of the Mystery: Repentance and Trust in God
4. The Transfiguration
The glory of the Godhead shines forth from the face of Christ as the Father commands the astonished Apostles to "listen to him."
“And as He was praying, the appearance of His countenance was altered and His raiment become dazzling white. And a voice came out of the cloud saying, ‘This is My Son, My chosen; listen to Him!’" (Luke 9:29, 35)
Fruit of the Mystery: Desire for Holiness
5. Institution of the Eucharist
Christ offers his body and blood as food under the signs of bread and wine, and testifies "to the end" His love for humanity, for whose salvation He will offer Himself in sacrifice.
“And He took bread, and when He had given thanks He broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you.’ ... And likewise with the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.’"
(Luke 22:19-20)
Fruit of the Mystery: Adoration
The Sorrowful Mysteries
Said on Tuesdays and Fridays
In the Sorrowful Mysteries we stand beneath the Cross of Jesus, coming face to face with the truth of his insistence that the Christ must suffer and die. No matter that we long to cry out, if only we had been there; we still encounter the reality of our human position and the truth that is Our Lord's. We sense the sword piercing the heart of his Mother, and pray that it may open our whole being to the agony and the power that the infinite love of Jesus in his Passion chose and endured for us.
1. The Agony in the Garden
At Gethsemane, Jesus prays as He contemplates the sins of the world.
“In His anguish He prayed with all the greater intensity, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. Then He rose from prayer and came to His disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted with grief.” (Luke 22:44-45)
Fruit of the Mystery: Contrition
2. The Scourging at the Pillar
Jesus is cruelly scourged until His mortified body could bear no more.
“Pilate’s next move was to take Jesus and have Him scourged.” (John 19:1)
Fruit of the Mystery: Purity
3. The Crowning with Thorns
A crown of thorns is placed on the head of Jesus.
“They stripped off His clothes and wrapped Him in a scarlet military cloak. Weaving a crown out of thorns they fixed it on His head, and stuck a reed in His right hand ...” (Matthew 27:28-29)
Fruit of the Mystery: Courage

“Jesus uttered a loud cry and said, ‘Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit.’ After He said this, He expired.” (Luke 23:46)
Fruit of the Mystery: Perseverance
The Glorious Mysteries
Said on Wednesdays and Sundays
The Glorious Mysteries reveal the mediation of the great Virgin, still more abundant in fruitfulness. She rejoices in heart over the glory of her Son triumphant over death, and follows Him with a mother's love in His Ascension to His eternal kingdom; but, though worthy of Heaven, she abides a while on earth, so that the infant Church may be directed and comforted by her "who penetrated, beyond all belief, into the deep secrets of Divine wisdom" (St. Bernard).
..... Pope Leo XIII
1. The Resurrection
Jesus rises glorious and immortal, three days after His death.
“You need not be amazed! You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, the one who was crucified. He has been raised up; He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.”
(Mark 16:6)
Fruit of the Mystery: Faith
2. The Ascension
Jesus ascends into Heaven forty days after His Resurrection.
“Then, after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into Heaven and took His seat at God’s right hand.” (Mark 16:19)
Fruit of the Mystery: Hope
3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit descends upon Mary and the Apostles.
“All were filled with the Holy Spirit. They began to express themselves in foreign tongues and make bold proclamation as the Spirit prompted them.” (Acts 2:4)
Fruit of the Mystery: Love
4. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Blessed Mother is united with her Divine Son in Heaven.
