"Today we mourn the passing of the Most Rev. Richard G. Lennon, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Cleveland, who passed away today following a time of illness.   

The Archdiocese of Boston announced today that Rev. Msgr. Francis V. Strahan has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, as a result of receiving an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor alleged to have taken place in approximately 2006. Msgr. Strahan is Pastor of Saint Bridget Parish, Framingham, MA.

"As required by canon law, the Cardinal offered his resignation having turned 75 on June 29. He met with the Holy Father over the weekend, who asked him to stay on for a few more years.
